Approve minutes of April 12th, 2021 board meeting

Treasurer’s Report

  1. Review Changes to Open Meetings Act as amended by LB 83E
  2. JEO- Ryan Kavan; Street Improvement Projects Update
    • Board will authorize Don Moses, Chairperson, to sign and issue DOT Permits for project.
    • Board will authorize JEO to submit permit to BNSF and approve $800.00 permit fee.
  3. JEO- Tyler Keenan & Mike Schultes; Water Main Project Update
    • Board will review bids received for SRF Project No. D311633 2021 Water Main Replacement and consider awarding bid.
  4. Fairmont Community Club – Ryan Komenda
    • Board will review quote to revamp Horseshoe Pits as presented by the Fairmont Community Club and consider a monetary contribution towards the costs.
  5. Austin Jarosz – Glenwood Communications Proposal Review

  7. NDEE Agreement
    • Board will review and approve submittal of NDEE Village Public Water System Improvements Loan Documents and consider passing Resolution # 2021-03
  8. Code Book – Fee Schedule Resolution
    • Board will review and make changes to the fee schedule governing ordinances as outlined in the Village of Fairmont Code Book and consider passing Resolution # 2021- 04 implementing the fee schedule.
  9. Fillmore County Zoning Recommendation Resolution
    • Board will review Fillmore County Zoning Recommendation that opened for public hearing at 04.12.2021 meeting and consider passing Ordinance # 21-544.
  10. Village of Fairmont Swimming Pool
    • Board will consider and approve wages of 2021 Pool Manager, Wanda Moses.
    • Board will consider and approve wages of 2021 Asst. Pool Manager, Dave Seggerman.
    • Board will consider and approve wage rates for lifeguards for 2021 season.

    • Board will review and consider Interlocal Agreement Contract with the Village of Exeter.

    • Board will consider appointing Mike Scheil as Village of Fairmont Maintenance/Utility Superintendent and review and consider wage increase.
    • Board will review and reconsider wages of employee Dan Slocum for change in employment status and position.

The village board may go into closed session to discuss certain agenda items to protect the public interest or to prevent the needless injury to the reputation of the individual and if such individual has not requested a public hearing.


This agenda shall not be enlarged later than 24 hours before the meeting except for items of an emergency nature.
